Tuesday saw the release of the 2022 Grammy nominees, and it appears that this year’s ceremony will include some pretty compelling narratives.
For starters, Beyonce and Adele will once again face off in the record, song, and album of the year categories. This will be their second heavyweight matchup.
Since she now shares the record for the most Grammy nominations in a career with her husband Jay-Z, Beyonce is undoubtedly the year’s biggest winner.
Those Carters are masters at keeping wealth in the family, no doubt about it!
The list of nominees also includes Viola Davis, who would become a member of the elite EGOT club if her memoir Finding Me won the award for the best audiobook.
(The term refers to the select group of performers in the entertainment industry who have won an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar, and a Tony. The other three awards are already on Davis’ mantel.)
